IS GOD WEAK? WHY DOES HE ALLOW GOOD PEOPLE TO SUFFER?

Hello readers. Today’s blog is a small “on the spot” debate which I presented in college in my first year. Please read and do comment if you like it and IF want to give some suggestions. I apologize for any mistakes in my writing.

IS GOD WEAK? WHY DOES HE ALLOW GOOD PEOPLE TO SUFFER?

Before embarking on this question I would like to ask you – who is God? Whether God exists? What is the meaning of God?  How this name emerged?

In oxford dictionary the meaning of God is given as “the creator” & “the supreme ruler of the universe or a superpower” or “a spirit”.

By this meaning can we arrive at a conclusion that “George W Bush is a supreme human being or Sonia Gandhi is a supreme human being?

If we take into consideration the spirit is Superman God? Spiderman God? Baba Ramdev God, Amritanandamayi God?
I would firmly say NO!

By this meaning I don’t find anybody as the supreme creator or ruler. However I would like to take you to the ancient times from where the worship of god began.

According to the archaeological evidences as well as the linguistic studies the Aryans were the forerunners in the worship of god. They believed in trinity i.e. today’s Bhrama-the creator, Vishnu-the preserver, Maheshwara- the destroyer (according to Hindu mythology). Their chief adoration was the sun. In the infancy of civilisation to them the sun was not a mere luminary but a creator, ruler, preserver and saviour of their world as they knew it.

It is very hard for a man at the present day to realise the feeling with which the first developers on earth looked upon the sun. Put yourself in their shoes for just a minute. Think of a man at the dawn time; was not the sunrise to him the first wonder? Was it not to him the first revelation, the first beginning of all trust, of all religion?

From the Aryan’s I now take you to another world of thoughts. God gives us immense ways of realising him. Why can’t we think of our own mother as the manifestation of god because she is the creator of life which is scientifically true?

Sacrifice is the epitome of an ancient thought process encapsulated in the Vedas. For example there are poeple who gave complete service to the mankind- like Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammed, Gautama Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Teresa.

Our universe is a combination of good and bad. Good means god and bad means devil.

If you take the path of good you reach the God and if you take the path of the bad you reach the devil.

The path to god is hardship and sacrifice. Only through hardship you can achieve your goal.
If you define god, it is not unitary. It is a combination of many forced as in universe. Everything in this universe is formed combining two or more elements. Hence god is not unitary.

If we go further in the engineering terms even an atom is formed of protons, electrons and neutron, which states that god is the inner energy of the subconscious mind.

Therefore I would like to conclude by saying that it is not god who is weak and gives the suffering to the good, but it is we, and everything is in our hand to decide the good and bad.

As Yajur Veda depicts:
“May my life, each breathe the eyes, the ears, the speech, the mind, the soul and all acts and the deeds are of service to mankind.”

Hence according to me god is not weak!

Thank you!!!!

how much you know india?

A PROUD TO BE SO CALLED INDIAN OF MY AGE (SHOULD SAY A YOUTH) WAS ARGUING WITH MY CLOSEST FRIEND ABOUT HOW MUCH HE KNOWS AND LOVES INDIA AND IS PATRIOTIC ABOUT IT. HE TOLD ME SOME POINTS ABOUT INDIA WHICH HE THOUGHT ONLY HE KNEW AND WE BOTH WERE IDIOTS. THIS BLOG TODAY IS ABOUT CERTAIN FACTS WHICH WE PROUD INDIANS KNOW VERY WELL BUT I WISH TO POST IT FOR MY HAPPINESS AND YOUR KNOWLEDGE.

1)  India was once called “sone ki chidiya” which means “the golden bird” in English. May be that’s why today India buys gold more than any other country in the world AND Still our country has credits left with the WORLD BANK.

2)  It is a fact that the real Indians are the Dravidians who still live in the southern part of the India and the proud Indians on the north are the Aryans. The south Indians call India the “incredible”-but they are oblivious to the fact that this incredibility came after the Aryans migrated to India.

3)  India was a dark treasure land about which most of the conquerors like Alexander the great dreamt of conquering only in sleep!

4)  The mughals ruled over 200 years. They made various architectural buildings, mosques, introduced various forms of Sufi songs and music, dance like Kathak, various different kinds of food & new ways to trade. But they are the once who brought the Muslim religion to India. Still hindu-muslim are not bhai bhai(BROTHERS)!

5)  Vasco da gama, one of the most successful explorer of his age found india in the year 1497. It was after this year that India saw its barbaadi.

6)  Lord Mountbatten was the last viceroy of British Indian Empire. It is known that he oversaw the partition of India and Pakistan. Also it is known that he was fed up of constant loose motions he had because of the revolts in India. So he wanted to leave India as soon as possible.

7)  India is the only country which is home to 200 million cows and it is also the only country in the world which has a Bill of Rights for Cows. Is that the reason we see them more cows on road? Whatever the human rights bill or the lokhpal bill are still not clear!!!

8)  3.22 Million Indians are in America, mainly because there are no air conditioning facilities on roads where ever they wish to troll down, only tissue paper business to wipe their ass, extra purchasing power to show off to other poor Indians.

9)   India had no plastic bags till the year 1985 and now we don’t know how and where to dump it, so we dump it on roads, parks, throw outside our houses!!!

10)        In 700 BC, the first university was established in Takshashila. Still the literacy rate in India is not 100%.

11)        About 50 % population is under 25. Many of us will grow old together. So keep producing more.

12)         The organization with the most number of employees in the WORLD is our own Indian Railways with 1.6 million people. The former  railway minister Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav and the present minister Ms. Mamta Banerjee also have their accounts in Swiss Banks.

13)        There are 3,00,000 mosques in India more than the Muslim Countries and uncountable number of temples. Its been 64 years of independence that hindus and muslims don’t like to see each other.

14)        The finest quality of Tea is produced in India but its  mostly exported ! hmm so where is the money of exports going? I guess Swiss bank!

15)        Decimals, number system, Pi was invented in India. And the world started calculating. We have so many scientists, philosophers, artists and many talented Indians. Excuse me please, Who are the politicians????

16)         India produces most number of movies than any other country and there are 3 million people who watch them but mallika sherawat, shiela ki javani, munni, sweety, rakhi sawant, poonam pandey prefer Hollywood as they don’t get offers in bollywood!!!!!

17)        Bengalooru (Bangalore) has more than 10k software companies and they export 90% of the software to the world. A lot of brain storming I guess !

18)        Yoga originated 5,000 years ago in India.……. and now we have more yogis than yoga exercises…….

19)        In india we speak 18 different languages and have 1652 dialects but we prefer to speak HINGLISH.

20)        Many tradional Indian wives will never say her husband’s name aloud, as it is a sign of disrespect. When addressing him, the wife will use several indirect references, such as “ji”-“suniye ji-idhar to aaiye” or “look here, come here” or “hello,” or even refer to him as the father of her child-“arre chunnu ke papa”.

21)        As women respect the men, the Indian men prefer to say “Bharat humari Maata hai”-“INDIA IS OUR MOTHERLAND” and with the same tongue also like to say “teri MAA ki -#$*##$.. teri BEHEN ki -#$&##” which in English means- your respected mother’s -#$*&%## and your respected sister’s -$#&*#$##!!!!

22)        India is the largest democracy in the world, but sad the members of parliament don’t know what democracy means.

23)        India is the only country in the world where, if you see a garbage dump area with flies all over it and the place stinking like hell there you will also see a banner “keep city clean”-“green delhi, clean delhi”, etc!!!!

24)        India is the birthplace of four main religions- HINDUISM, BUDDHISM, JAINISM AND SIKHISM.

25)        The number system and the decimal system was invented in India which means every Indian knows counting. So if the government says we don’t know how much money is in Swiss bank tell ...don’t believe them.

26)        In India 90 percent of the Indians don’t know that the people whom they call “chinkies” (those who look like Chinese), who live in most of the metro cities are from east India.

27)        India leads the world with the most murders (32,719), with Russia taking second at 28,904 murders per year.

(p.s  its my first attempt to write a satire. all the points are not correct. please do not mind any untrue facts. do follow and comment your views.)

support anna ji

I am going to India Gate today along with my friends on a rally to support Anna Hazare against corruption. I asked many of my fellow classmates as well to join me. They flooded me with questions, who he is? Why anna ji is creating a melodrama now? Where was he before all this started? To answer all such foolish and dumb questions for all of you, am writing this blog. Please do continue reading with patience.

Anna ji or KISSAN BABURAO HAZARE was born on 15 June 1937 (before Indian independance) in Bhaaingar, in Maharastra. He started his carrier at the age of 25 as a driver in Indian Army. Before his recruitment in Indian Army he sold flowers in Dadar (Maharastra) to support his poor family. On 12 November 1965, while he was posted at the khem karan border during Indo- Pak war of 1965, the Indian base was attacked by Pakistan and all the comrades with hazare died on the spot. Hazare ji had one bullet that passed through his head, but did not let him die. This experience made him realise the purpose of life. He started reading books of the life of Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, Vinobha bhave and many others who sacrificed their life for the needy, poor and unwell people in the country.

Today, Anna Hazare is the face of India's fight against corruption. He has taken that fight to the corridors of power and challenged the government at the highest level. People, the common man and well-known personalities alike, are supporting him in the hundreds swelling to the thousands.

For Anna Hazare, it is another battle. And he has fought quite a few, Including some as a soldier for 15 years in Indian Army. He enlisted after the 1962 Indo-China war when the government exhorted young men to join the Army.

In 1978, he took voluntary retirement from the 9th Maratha Battalion and returned home to Ralegaon Siddhi, a village in Maharashtra's drought-prone Ahmadnagar. He was 39 years old.

He found farmers back home struggling for survival and their suffering would prompt him to pioneer rainwater conservation that put his little hamlet on the international map as a model village.

The villagers revere him. Thakaram Raut,  a school teacher in Ralegaon Siddhi says, "Thanks to Anna's agitations, we got a school, we got electricity, we got development schemes for farmers.''

Anna Hazare's fight against corruption began here. He fought first against corruption that was blocking growth in rural India. His organization - the Bhrashtachar Virodhi Jan Andolan (People's movement against Corruption). His tool of protest - hunger strikes. And his prime target - politicians.

Maharashtra stalwarts like Sharad Pawar and Bal Thackeray have often called his style of agitation nothing short of "blackmail".

But his weapon is potent. In 1995-96, he forced the Sena-BJP government in Maharashtra to drop two corrupt Cabinet Ministers. In 2003, he forced the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) state government to set up an investigation against four ministers. In April this year, four days of fasting brought thousands of people out in support of his crusade against corruption. They also made the government realise it could not be dismissive about Anna Hazare and his mass appeal.

His relationship with the UPA government continues to be uneasy. The truce of April was short-lived. An exercise to set up a joint committee made up of equal numbers of government representatives and civil society activists, including Anna Hazare came to naught when the two sides failed to agree and drafted two different Lok Pal Bills. The government has brought its version in Parliament and Team Anna is livid.

The Gandhian is soldiering on. From one battle to another in his war against corruption. He fought from the front to have Right to Information (RTI) implemented. He is now fighting for the implementation of the Jan Lokpal Bill, the anti-corruption bill drafted by his team of crusaders.

This year, more than 30 years after Anna Hazare started his crusade, as the 74-year-old plans a second hunger strike in Delhi against large-scale corruption at the national level. Nothing really has changed except the scale of his battle.

When some people of my age (must say the youth of India) ask idiotic questions about Anna ji and other social reformers of india, my stomach tickles me to laugh out loud. What is wrong with you people? Don't you have studied Indian history ever in school life or being and Indian and working or supporting the welfare of the country is a big pressure on you guys, or will any one take tax from you if you speak out in support of a person who is coming out and trying to help two billion people in India which includes all caste, creed, religion, rich, poor and handicapped. Yesterday when he was sent to tihar jail only less than half of the Indians were out on roads and rest of the so called proud to be Indian men and women were sitting debating about why should they ever support or not support him.

When today Shri Anna Hazare is ready to put his life for the youth –for  us to live in a corruption free country with equal rights in a country with 2 billion people living below the poverty line and half of the politicians bathing in money- now is the time to end all of this. We are not progressing as opposed to other nations because of this corruption seed.

Well Indians, if you do not come out today to support a man who has lived his entire life till now for India and who is out for a purpose to protect and secure the life and future of today's generation and the generations to come, then don't be glad to call yourself and represent yourself as a Indian. Either it will be now that supporting Anna Hazare, Kiran Bedi and Arjun Kejrival will be worth it or it might never be possible.

It is a time for a revolution and we should give it strength because the youth is the future of tomorrow.
Join INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION MOVEMENT.
In the words of Gandhi, lets be the change we want to see!
Corruption Hatao, India Bachao!

आज बारिश कि एक बून्द पडते ही एसा लगा, जॅसे मौसम मेरे लिये ही ब्दला हे

Hi reader's. Today's blog is a hindi poem written by my college friend SATYAM MISHRA. He is a budding poet. I loved this poem a lot. please read it and encourage his creation.

On A Journey That Is Never Ending For You All And Me

As long as I have known you all
On a voyage for you and me,
Have owned a treasure of you
I don’t know will I get it ever,
Because we are still on a journey
That is never ending for you all and me.

As long as I have known you all
We all share a ship
I trusted you along the distances we travelled
Because you were the dearest & the closest,
On a journey
That is never ending for you all and me.

As long as I have known you all
To some I seldom spoke and met,
It was never a reason to stop the ship,
When I was not with you
On a journey
That is never ending for you all and me.

As long as I have known you all,
I shifted to a new place to live
And you went somewhere far,
Would we meet, I had no hope
I lost communication with
But destiny made us come back to the ship
On a journey
That is never ending for you and me.

As long as I have known you all
I remember the last day with you
When I told I have to go,
And the night we cried long
You kept pleading -Please Don’t leave
And I left the ship with you alone
But still
You didn’t let the time or distance affect
On a journey
That is never ending for you and me.

As long as I have known you all,
I remember the farewell day
When I said goodbye, I didn’t knew
We will be separated for so long
But you are with me still as a friend
The best I can say
On a journey
That is never ending for you and me.

As long as I have known you all
Some I met during the crucial time of my life
You were there when I needed
And lending me a shoulder when I cried
And then giving me hugs and making me smile
On a journey
That is never ending for you and me.

As long as I have know you all
The ship is different for everyone,
But one thing I can assure you is,
There is no best thing to achieve in this world
Than a ship of priceless friends,
On a journey
That is never ending for you all and me.

p.s.

This poem is a dedication to all my friends. The friends who were with me in 8th grade-I never thought we would meet again-thanks to facebook. To my bhaiya and my only childhood friend who has always been an inspiration and a kind hearted man of support whenever I needed, thanks to orkut we met each other (after 3000 searches, lol). To my very special friend and a darling -it feels terrible when I think I was so cruel to leave you alone in between some group of jerks after 10th grade. To my high school friends who were total insane just like me and made me a person of life which I am today. To my college friends and only support of my life who help me always with decisions to keep which foot forward and bearing all my idiosyncrasies. This is a small gratitude from me.
HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY!!!! :)
